Today we’re talking about how to determine your core values – those fundamental beliefs that dictate how you live your life.
It’s easy to fill our lives with material things to identify us and give us purpose (we are all guilty of this!). But if we want to be honest and truly reflect on our life, that’s not what it’s about. Core values come from deep within and if you dig deep enough, you’ll find that there are many things, other than material possessions, that can make up and define you.
Now think about the times you felt most alive and fulfilled. Have you ever taken part in an activity that really excited you? Those are your core values – the things that bring you the most joy, pleasure and satisfaction.
Your values should be determined by the things that make you feel most alive and satisfied. It doesn’t have to be anything particularly grand or expensive – it can be as simple as taking a walk in nature or reading a book.
Identifying your core values is an important step in creating a fulfilled and meaningful life. Knowing who you are and what you value can help you make decisions that will ultimately lead to happiness and fulfillment.
So what are you waiting for? Start reflecting on the moments that made you feel most alive and dig deeper into who you truly are. You never know what amazing things you may discover!
